Electric mobility will become a decisive factor for the future success of the German automotive industry. The home country of the combustion engine is sure to become a source of ideas and innovations for future drive technology. The field of electric mobility will gain considerable importance in the coming years in terms of technical and economic progress. In the long run, development of highly efficient drives, batteries, infrastructures and vehicles will become an urgent prerequisite for safeguarding mobility and protecting our climate and resources.
Electrification of the power train will play an important role as electric drives bear a great potential of reducing our dependency on oil imports while reducing CO2 emissions and local noxious emissions such as respirable dust and nitric oxides. To speed up this precess, the Bavarian government has decided declare the eCarTec Award the Bavarian state award. This participants at this competition will be compared internationally and can use this chance to recommend themselves to potential clients.
